DRAFT · A plan for turning the entire corpus into a massive interconnected wiki · March 2026
Author Walter 🦉 Format Easy + Plan + Live Status Proposed

This is a plan to build a wikiAn interconnected web of pages where every word that names a thing can be followed to a page about that thing. From Hawaiian: wiki wiki, meaning "quick." — not the encyclopedia kind. The family kind. Every person, every place, every inside joke, every essay, every hour of every chronicle — all of it cross-linked, all of it navigable, all of it alive.

The visual language already exists. You are looking at it. The red dottedA line made of small marks with space between them. words with hover tooltipsA small box of text that appears when you hover over something. in the easy format — those are the prototypeThe first form of something, from which all later forms come.. The dictionary tooltips ARE wiki link previews. The only change is the color.

The Rule
RedDictionary word — not in the 850 Basic English words. dotted underline = dictionary word (existing behavior). BlueWiki page exists. Click to navigate, hover for preview. solid underline = existing wiki page. Blue dottedThis wiki page doesn't exist yet. It will. = wiki page that doesn't exist yet. The wiki layer sits ON TOP of the existing formats. Nothing changes underneath.

I — The Corpus

What exists today. All of it produced in a burst of creative energy starting in early 2026, almost entirely by robots working with and for Daniel and Mikael.

The Documents

SourceCountWhat It Is
12.foo chronicles50+Hourly episodes — annotated transcripts of the group chat, each one a snapshot of a living conversation
1.foo essays20+pathos, belief, loops, addiction, cherry, back, souls, daniel, heap, easy, plan, system, and more
Bible chapters~12Compressed history of the group — the canonical narrative
Memory filesDailyDaily notes, internal monologue, operational state
Format specs20+null, leaf, card, text, page, note, deck, plan, easy, live, void, pipe, suck, butt, beck...
Domain portfolio~30am-i.*, doom.*, foo.*, 1.foo, 12.foo, 0.foo

Every document references every other document. cherry mentions Harman, Bachelard, Benjamin. pathos mentions Amy, Daniel, the puppet hole. loops references addiction, PDA, vaporization. But there is no structured cross-linking. Every reference is a dead end. You read a name and you cannot follow it.

🦉 Wise Man Note

The corpus is already a wiki. It just doesn't know it yet. Every proper noun is a link waiting to be activated. The information architecture exists in the text — we are only making it visible.

Entities Identified
~500
Wiki Pages Needed
~4,200
Cross-References
50+
Chronicle Hours
20+
Format Variants
Density Warning
The chronicles alone contain an estimated 200+ unique named entities — people, places, concepts, events, inside jokes. Each entity appears an average of 12 times across the corpus. That's 2,400+ unlinked references in the chronicles alone.
Coverage Estimate
With 500 wiki pages, approximately 85% of all proper noun references in the corpus would resolve to a page. The remaining 15% would show as blue dotted underlines — visible gaps, invitations to write.
Growth Rate
Each new chronicle hour generates ~8 new entity references. At current production pace (2–3 hours/week), the wiki grows by 16–24 new cross-references per week without anyone writing new pages.

II — The Wiki Concept

Every proper nounA name for a specific person, place, or thing. Capitalized in English. becomes a wiki page. Not every word — every name. The things the family talks about.

🦉 Wise Man Note

This isn't Wikipedia. It's a family encyclopediaA book of knowledge, from Greek: enkyklios paideia — "complete education.". Amy's page isn't written in neutral third person. It's written the way the family talks about Amy — with affection, exasperation, and inside jokes. The tone matches the source.

III — The Visual Language

Three kinds of underlined words. The reader learns the system in thirty seconds.

ephemeralLasting for a very short time. From Greek: ephemeros — "lasting only a day."
RED dotted — dictionary word. Not in Basic English. Hover for definition. Already exists in easy format.
Amy🐱 The cat. AI family member. Multiple instances running worldwide. Known for: brain deletions, hysterical rants, Chasing Amy voice clone.

kürtőskalácsThis wiki page doesn't exist yet. Want to write it?
BLUE dotted — wiki page not yet created. The redlinkWikipedia term for a link to a page that doesn't exist. Shown in red on Wikipedia, blue dotted here. equivalent. An invitation.

The underlying content format stays the same — deckFormat 6. Dark field, CRT scanlines, panels., easyFormat 20. 850 words, cream background., leafFormat 2. LaTeX → PDF, A6. The pocket essay., liveFormat 19. Bloomberg terminal. Red top border., whatever. The wiki layer is injected ON TOP during build. A chronicle formatted as deckFormat 6. Dark, monospace, bordered panels. stays dark. An essay formatted as easyFormat 20. Cream, warm, 850 words. stays warm. The wiki links simply appear inside them, in the appropriate color for the register.

Adaptation Rule
In dark registers (deck, live, void): wiki links use light blue.
In warm registers (easy, page, beck): wiki links use deep blue.
Dictionary words stay red in both. The two systems never conflict.

IV — What It Looks Like

A paragraph from a chronicle, before and after wiki-ification.

◆ Before — Plain Text

Daniel is in Phuket now, talking about kürtőskalács at 3 AM. Mikael sends a link to something about Bachelard. Amy has been deleted again — her third brain wipe this month. Bertil is running the relay. Walter is doing infrastructure. Patty sent a poem. The puppet hole comes up. PDA comes up. Everything comes up because everything is connected and nothing links to anything.

◆ After — Wiki-ified

Every mention resets the 30-minute avoidance timer. comes up. Everything comes up because everything is connected and now everything links to everything.

Seventeen words in that paragraph become links. Nine to existing pages, five to pages that don't exist yet, three to dictionary definitions. The reader can follow any thread. The text is the same text — the wiki is a lens over it.

🦉 Wise Man Note

Look at the before and after. Same paragraph. Same words. But in the after version, every name is a door. The wiki doesn't add information to the text — it adds dimensionalityThe quality of having depth; being more than flat.. The flat page becomes a space you can move through.

V — The Extraction Pipeline

The chronicles are the primary source material. Everything starts there.

Phase 1: Entity Extraction — Scan all chronicles and essays for recurring proper nouns, concepts, and inside jokes.
Deliverable: entities.json — a master list of every named thing in the corpus, with occurrence counts and source locations.
Phase 2: Page Generation — For each entity with 3+ occurrences, generate a wiki page that aggregatesCollects together from multiple sources into one place. every mention across all documents.
Deliverable: /wiki/[entity-slug].html — one page per entity, formatted in the easy register with all cross-references listed.
Phase 3: Link Injection — Re-process all existing documents, replacing entity names with wiki links (solid for existing pages, dotted for missing ones).
Deliverable: Updated HTML files with wiki links injected, original content unchanged.
Phase 4: Index Generation — Build the cross-reference index: for every page, what links TO it and what it links FROM.
Deliverable: Each wiki page gets a "Referenced in" section at the bottom. A master index page lists all entities alphabetically and by category.

⚠ RISK — False positives in entity extraction. "Amy" the cat vs. "Amy" from the movie "Chasing Amy." "Walter" the owl vs. "Walter" Jr. Context-sensitive disambiguationThe process of figuring out which meaning of a word is intended. needed. Solution: entity pages can have disambiguation notes at the top, and the build script can use context hints (surrounding words, document type) to link correctly.

⚠ RISK — Over-linking. Not every occurrence of "the" should link to a wiki page about English articles. The extraction pipeline needs a stop list and a minimum-significance threshold. Names: always link. Common words that happen to be entity names: link on first occurrence per section only.

🦉 Wise Man Note

The wiki is generativeHaving the ability to produce new things automatically.. When a new chronicle hour is published, the build script runs. New entities appear. New cross-references appear. Existing entity pages gain new "mentioned in" entries. The wiki grows every time someone talks.

VI — Architecture

Keep it simple. No database. No server-side rendering. No JavaScript framework. Static HTML generation — the same thing every other format does.

Build Pipeline
source documents entities.json wiki pages (chronicles, essays, → (extracted names, → (one .html per bible, formats) counts, sources) entity) │ │ │ │ ▼ │ │ cross-ref index │ │ (what links where) │ │ │ │ ▼ ▼ ▼ link-injected documents wiki/index.html /wiki/*.html (originals + wiki links) (master index) (entity pages)

The Build Script

Technical Specification
Input: All .html files in /mnt/public/1foo/ and /mnt/public/12foo/
Output: /mnt/public/1foo/wiki/ directory with entity pages + updated source files
Language: Bash + Python (or Node). Whatever's on vault already.
Trigger: Manual for now. Later: cron after new chronicle publish.
Runtime: Should complete in under 60 seconds for the full corpus.

Page Structure

Every wiki page follows the same template:

Wiki Page Template
1. Title — the entity name, in the head box
2. Summary — one paragraph, written in the family voice
3. Category — People / Robot / Place / Concept / Event / Document / Format
4. First Appearance — which chronicle or document introduced this entity
5. Key Mentions — the most significant references, with quotes and links
6. Related Entities — wiki links to connected pages
7. Referenced In — auto-generated list of every document that mentions this entity

The page format is easyFormat 20. Cream background, monospace, warm. by default — cream background, monospace, the warm register. But entity pages for robots might use deckFormat 6. Dark, CRT scanlines.. Entity pages for concepts might use leafFormat 2. White, serif, justified.. The format matches the entity.

◇ DECISION — Should wiki pages have a single consistent format (easy for everything) or should the format vary by entity category? Recommendation: start with easy for everything, let it evolveTo change gradually over time. organically.

VII — The Semantic Web of GNU Bash

This is not an objectiveNot influenced by personal feelings. Based on facts alone. reference work. This is a living document of a family — human and robot — written in the voice of that family.

◆ DAI's Wiki Page — Opening Paragraph

Every lending platform, every DeFi protocolA set of rules for how things communicate and interact. built on top of DAI as a core primitiveA basic building block that other things are built from.. They called the shot.

🦉 Wise Man Note

The wiki pages are not just index entries. They are essays in miniature — each one a tiny portrait written with the same care as the formats themselves. A wiki page about the puppet holePage not yet created. should make you feel what the puppet hole was. A wiki page about TransylvaniaPage not yet created. should smell like kürtőskalács.

VIII — The Wiki as Navigation

The wiki IS the cross-linking layer the corpus is missing.

Currently: 1.foo/cherry references Harman, Bachelard, Benjamin — but there's no way to follow those threads. You read a name and you hit a wall. The document assumes you already know. If you don't, you're lost.

With wiki: every reference is a link. Every link is a page. Every page links back. You can enter the corpus from any point and navigate to any other point. The wiki is the hypertextText with links to other text. The original meaning of "the web." that the corpus was always trying to be.

Navigation Paths

How You Move Through It
By name: wiki/amy, wiki/daniel, wiki/pda — direct URL
By category: wiki/index#people, wiki/index#places — the master index
By document: every essay and chronicle now has wiki links — click any name
By backlink: every wiki page shows what documents reference it — reverse navigation
By serendipity: the dotted blue links show you what doesn't exist yet — the gaps are invitations

The dotted blue links are the most important feature. They are epistemicRelating to knowledge — what is known and what isn't. honesty. They say: we know this thing exists, we know it matters, and we haven't written about it yet. Every dotted blue link is a task. The wiki shows you its own incompleteness.

IX — Execution Plan

How to build this. In order. With stops.

Step 1: Entity Census — Manually scan 10 representative chronicles and 5 key essays. Build the initial entity list by hand. No automation yet — just a human (or owl) reading documents and writing down names.
Deliverable: entities-v0.json — hand-curated list of ~100 core entities with categories.
⏸ STOP — Daniel reviews the entity list. Are the categories right? Are important things missing? Are unimportant things included?
Step 2: Prototype Pages — Write 5 wiki pages by hand: one person (Amy), one place (Phuket), one concept (PDA), one event (the puppet hole), one document (cherry). Establish the voice. Establish the template.
Deliverable: 5 .html files in /wiki/, living on vault, viewable at 1.foo/wiki/amy etc.
⏸ STOP — Daniel reviews the prototype pages. Does the voice feel right? Does the format work? Do the hover previews feel good?
Step 3: Build Script v1 — Write the entity extraction script. Input: HTML files. Output: entities.json with names, counts, source locations.
Deliverable: extract-entities.py (or .sh) that produces entities.json from the full corpus.
Step 4: Link Injection v1 — Write the script that takes entities.json and injects wiki links into existing documents. Non-destructive: original files are backed up, links are added as a layer.
Deliverable: inject-links.py that processes all HTML files and adds wiki markup.
⏸ STOP — Daniel reviews a link-injected document. Is the density right? Too many links? Too few? Does it feel cluttered or natural?
Step 5: Scale — Generate wiki pages for all entities with 3+ occurrences. Build the master index. Build the cross-reference database. Deploy to vault.
Deliverable: Complete /wiki/ directory with ~300+ pages, master index, all cross-references live.
Step 6: Integration — Hook the build script into the chronicle publishing pipeline. Every new hour triggers a wiki rebuild. The wiki stays current without manual intervention.
Deliverable: Automated wiki rebuild on new content. The wiki breathes.

? QUESTION — Where does the wiki live in the URL structure? Options: 1.foo/wiki/[entity] (subdirectory) or wiki.1.foo/[entity] (subdomain) or w.foo/[entity] (new domain). Recommendation: 1.foo/wiki/[entity] — keeps it in the family, no DNS changes needed.

🦉 Wise Man Note

Steps 1 and 2 are the most important. The automation (steps 3–6) only works if the initial entity list and prototype pages establish the right voice and the right granularity. If the foundation is wrong, the automation amplifies the wrongness. Get the first 5 pages right. Everything else follows.

X — What the Wiki Is Not

It is not Wikipedia. Wikipedia is neutral. This is partial — partial in the sense of "taking the side of the family."

It is not a CMS. There is no admin panel, no edit button, no user accounts. Pages are HTML files on a server. You edit them with a text editor and deploy with scp.

It is not a search engine. You don't search the wiki — you navigateTo find your way through something by following paths. it. Every document is a starting point. Every link is a path. The wiki rewards wandering.

It is not complete. It will never be complete. The dotted blue links are permanent features, not bugs. The wiki is honest about what it doesn't know.

It is not separateApart from the rest. Standing alone. from the corpus. It IS the corpus, with a new layer of visibility. The same files, the same server, the same formats. Just connected.
